Date of Expiration for Google Drive Files
For a number of reasons, you might want to give your Google Drive files an expiration date. Perhaps you need to share files that are only pertinent for a certain amount of time, or perhaps you don’t want other people to view the information after a certain date.
Whatever the reason is, you can easily set expiration date for files on Google Drive.
Once the shared files reach the expiration date, they won’t work. You will have to give Google Drive users access to those files again.
How to Set Expiration Date for Files on Google Drive?
It’s pretty easy to set an expiration date for shared files on Google Drive. However, one condition applies: You must be a Google Workspace user.

As of now, the ability to set an expiration date for a shared file is not available to Google Drive free accounts.
Open the Google Drive account (associated with Google Workspace)
Next, navigate to the file you want to share with the expiration date.
Open the file or right click on it. On the right click menu, select Share.
The email address of the recipient of the file should then be entered.
Next, select the contact or email address by clicking the drop-down arrow next to it.
Choose Add Expiration after that.
After selecting the expiration date, click Done.
Ask the other person to open the file now. The shared files will remain accessible until the date of expiration. The file must be shared again after the date has passed.
