We get hundreds of messages on our WhatsApp account every day, let’s face it. We don’t want to miss some of those messages since they hold great significance for us. Finding the most important message can occasionally become a muddle, though, because spam and critical messages can arrive in the same chat mailbox.
WhatsApp has unveiled a new conversation filter to address issues with spam and message sorting. The filter makes it simple to arrange and condense conversation messages.
All, Unread, and Groups are the three areas that house the new chat filters, which are now accessible at the very top of the chat window. This makes it simple to locate group and unread messages.
What are the new chat filters?
WhatsApp recently added three new chat filters: All, Unread, and Groups. These filters allow you to sort messages easily.
All: This will show you all of your chats and messages. This is the default chat filter used on WhatsApp.
Unread: The next one is Unread, which only shows messages marked as unread. If you’ve received a message that hasn’t been opened, it will show up here.

Search By Date Feature on WhatsApp
A few months ago, WhatsApp introduced another useful feature for individual and group chats: Search by date.
As the name implies, the Search by Date feature lets you find specific messages or media files exchanged on a particular day.
This is also a chat filtering option; you should use it to your advantage. Here’s how to find WhatsApp chats from a specific date.
- Launch the WhatsApp application on your gadget.
-
The WhatsApp group or chat you wish to search for messages by date should then open.
-
Select Search by tapping the three dots in the upper right corner of the chat window after it has opened.
-
Tap the Calendar button in the Search area.
-
The Calendar will open as a result. Choose the date that you wish to locate the chat. When finished, press OK.
