How to Use Vocal Shortcuts on iPhone

Apple has recently rolled out a variety of exciting features with iOS 18, including Control Center customization, the ability to hide icon names, and options to change app icon colors. One particularly interesting feature I discovered while exploring the Accessibility options is Vocal Shortcuts. Let’s delve into what Vocal Shortcuts are and how you can use them.

What are Vocal Shortcuts on iPhone?

Vocal Shortcuts are part of the Accessibility features in iOS 18. This functionality allows you to teach your iPhone to recognize a custom phrase, enabling you to quickly perform specific actions with just your voice. In simple terms, Vocal Shortcuts let you trigger actions based on voice commands. You’ll select an action and record a phrase to help your iPhone recognize your voice.

What’s remarkable about Vocal Shortcuts is that you can activate actions directly from the Lock Screen without needing to unlock your device or wake Siri.
